I’ve ended my bid for the summit. I felt completely exhausted after my time in the icefall. I decided it probably was not safe for me to continue. A month and a half on the mountain has taken a physical and mental toll on me. I’m ending my time here in Nepal with a trek through the Goyko valley and over Chola pass back to Lukla. I will be trekking with Ram and Nygma from the earlier trek. It will be a great way to wrap up this trip. I will post more when I get back to wi-fi.

I’ve been thinking about you these past months since we met on the flight to KTM. I am so glad to see that you are safe and will get to enjoy Gokyo valley. You are an inspiration, reaching the actual summit or not. Hope to run into you again somewhere, perhaps in some PNW mountains.
